THUMBS UP! (April 21, 2012)

Paul Bazay from Calgary in Canada put together my Residua website some five years ago. He has been maintaining it ever since. “Just to tell you that I am very happy with the new server,” I wrote to him yesterday. The old one used to go haywire from time to time, and so he moved my site to a new one sometime last year. “Not a glitch for such a long time!” I added brightly. “Many thanks for everything you have done to make my site work so well.” As for the title of my message, it was as jubilant as they get: “Thumbs up!” Today I found Paul’s answer: “Glad to hear it! And I’m glad to still be reading your writings, which often brighten my day.” Paul is such a nice guy, indeed. “Wonderful!” I just responded. “I am glad you enjoy my ramblings.” Now, that is an ideal relationship with someone who nowadays replaces the publisher, the printer, and the bookshop owner of old.
