As I was talking with Saša Juvan today, somehow we stumbled upon the subject of pessimism and optimism. And then he told me a great story about the two. A pessimist and an optimist are witnessing a catastrophe of some kind. “Gosh,” says the pessimist at some point, “it cannot get worse than this!” The optimist shakes his head: “Yes it can!” I was delighted at once. “I must remember this one,” I shook my head in awe. Saša just giggled at my unbridled enthusiasm.
