IN PRAISE OF MY NO. 1 SON (October 18, 2012)
As I just learned, my No. 1 son will be in Motovun in a few days. He will stay for a whole week, too. We planned his visit for a while, but it kept being postponed. Busy as he is in New York City, this is a real gift. For both of us, I would like to add. At thirty-seven, he is a real friend. We have gotten ever closer over the years, and now we have much in common. But why am I waxing poetic about my son’s visit? Because fathers and sons happen, but friends are made.
