The weather has been wonderful the last few days. There has been hardly any trace of clouds in the sky. The bora has brought the temperature down, but it is still warm during the day. Perfect weather, as everyone in Motovun keeps saying. However, mornings and evening are cool, and nights can be rather cold. Which is how I have caught a cold a few days ago. Covered only with a sheet, I froze several times. Now I am sneezing like crazy. What is worse, my nose is dripping from one side. And this makes sleeping uncomfortable, if not unworkable. I cannot sleep on one side because of the dripping. Sleeping on my back is pretty hard. Last night I tossed and turned like one demented. In the end, I had only a few hours sleep even though I stayed in bed for at least eight. But this morning I am still elated by the weather. The bora has cleared the air so well that the view from my house is stunning. The sea is bright blue in the distance. Crisp and cool, the morning presages a glorious day. To hell with the dripping nose!
