I am rather happy with the Word Press software I am using to post my writings on the World Wide Web. It is straightforward. It works well. And it never fails me. But there is one small thing that annoys me no end as of late. Namely, when I go into the administrative mode, the software gives me several options listed in a window that pops up under my website’s address. The one I go for most often is “create new post.” Why not “write new post” instead? On the panel displayed in the software itself, the “write” button comes first, followed by “manage,” and so on. That strikes me as just right. Why “create” in the options that pop up in that annoying window, though? This word drives me crazy. It is one of the hallmarks of this idiotic age. So many creative creators creating left and right. Gods one and all, apparently. A blasphemous blaspheming blasphemy, no less.
