OUR NEW ROUTINE (April 13, 2011)
I am a bit confused about my “return” to Motovun tomorrow afternoon. And so is my beloved. With a few short periods apart from each other, we have been together for some six months. This is how we expect to spend most of the next fall and winter, too. How about the rest of this spring and summer, though? I will be coming to Zagreb often enough, and she will be coming to Motovun whenever she can, but much of the warm period we will be apart. Confusing, to say the least. Now that we have become used to one half of our new routine, we cannot even guess how we will manage the coming months. It will be hard, no doubt. And it will remain hard spring after spring. Will I eventually move to Zagreb for good? Or will she drop everything one day and move with me to Motovun? However we ultimately manage the other half of our new routine, we know that our love for each other will keep us together through thick or thin. No matter what, our love is our strength. And that is our only consolation this evening—our last evening together for a few confusing weeks.
