THE CONUNDRUM OF QUANTITY AND QUALITY (December 9, 2014)

My output was meager in the early years of my Residua, but I delight in my writings from that period to this day. And that pertains both to what I wrote about and how I put it into words. Things have been changing, though. My output has skyrocketed the last few years, and I am hardly exaggerating, but I wonder whether I will delight in my writings from this period so many years later. Only time will tell, it goes without saying. Although the conundrum of quantity and quality has preoccupied me for years, and there are many of my pieces of writing that bear witness to that preoccupation, I have never come close enough to its resolution. Actually, I am not even sure any longer whether or not it is a conundrum at all. Quantity and quality may well support rather than oppose each other. Practice makes perfect, as the old proverb goes. Once again, only time will tell. Assuming that I will be able to tell the difference, of course. Conundrum, what conundrum?
