ORGASM FOR BEGINNERS (May 20, 2014)

It is not hard to figure out the reason for orgasm in men. Contractions along the shaft of the penis propel the semen out of testicles. The associated pleasure leads to procreation, the oldest trick of Mother Nature. What is the reason for orgasm in women, though? Given the pain of both pregnancy and childbirth, not to mention early childrearing, it cannot be pleasure as such. The first thing that comes to mind is that vaginal contractions help propel the ejaculated semen toward the uterus. The contractions must help in the process, but they cannot be essential for procreation. Good doctors must have figured this one out by now, I assume, but I am not going to search the World Wide Web on this score. Too much gibberish, I am quite sure. What stuns me is that the question has crossed my mind never before, and I am nearly seventy. How is that possible? The first thing that comes to mind is that one has to be well past procreation age to become interested in its workings, biologically speaking. Mother Nature is keeping her tricks up her sleeve. Good doctors will eventually figure this one out, as well. They simply must.
