MAKING HEADS SPIN (January 28, 2014)
My sinuses have been clogged up for about a year now. And my nose has been dripping all along. The skin inside my nostrils has become dry from all the dripping, and so I apply some cream to it every now and then. I use my index finger for this purpose. As I was doing it in my beloved’s presence yesterday evening, she averted her eyes at some point. “You’re making my head spin,” she shook her head in dismay. To see what she saw, I applied the cream to my nose in front of the bathroom mirror this afternoon. And I made my own head spin in no time. It is amazing how much the nose stretches and bends and twirls around when the cream is applied from within using an index finger. Although it looks rigid at first sight, it is quite flexible. Alarmingly so, as a matter of fact. It is as though it is made of rubber. From now on, I will apply cream to the skin inside my nostrils only when I am completely alone and away from all mirrors. Making heads spin is not my cup tea.
