FREE, FREE (September 8, 2014)

I washed the laundry and put it out to dry this morning. The weather is nice, and it will be dry before this evening. Also, I went to the post office, where I collected a bunch of bills to be paid next week, and I went to the store, where I bought a whole bunch of things to eat this week. Having returned home, I realize that there is nothing else for me to do this morning. The rest of the morning, I am free. Well, I am free the rest of the day, as well, except that I have to collect the dry laundry late in the afternoon. Then I will have to fold it and put it away for my beloved, who is coming over in a couple of weeks. Come to think of it, I will have to eat something early this afternoon. As usual, I will go to Benjamin’s, the best restaurant in Motovun. The only thing that remains to be done by the evening is to write a few pieces that will forever bear today’s date. Make that three pieces at least, my norm as of late. With some luck, this will be the first such piece of writing, too. But I can never be sure about things like these, for I am always liable to toss whatever I am writing into the garbage bin before posting it on the World Wide Web. Otherwise, I am free, free. And I will be free tomorrow, as well. In fact, I will be free the rest of this week. As well as the next, except for those bills that must be paid by the middle of this month…
