BLESSING, CURSE (March 6, 2014)
Shortly before my beloved returned home from her office yesterday, I built another Lego toy for her. It was a straight wall with a geometric composition of mine. An entoptic form, of course. She was delighted by it, and I built two more while we were together. As we were sitting and talking, I would cast a glance at the geometric compositions every now and then. After a while, I got up, broke down one of the compositions and remade it at once. “Now I have the whole system worked out,” I explained. “If I had enough Lego bricks, I could build dozens of similar compositions.” My beloved just shook her head. “That mind of yours,” she sighed. “It’s a blessing,” she continued with a smile, “and a curse!” Her verdict is still with me the next day. Now I have four compositions built in accordance with the same set of rules. The exhibition is very to my liking. If only I had more Lego bricks…
