Marko’s is now closed except on weekends, but the restaurant and café will close for the season by the end of this month. It will open again for Easter. And Benjamin’s is now closed on Wednesdays. The restaurant will close for the season soon after New Year’s and open again just before Easter. About a month before Easter, it will be open only on weekends. The hotel restaurant is still open the whole week, but it will also close for the season between New Year’s and Easter. The same holds for the hotel café. Now that the tourist season is over with the exception of Christmas and New Year’s, it is good to know all these details about Motovun’s restaurants and cafés. As of late, I have my morning coffee at the hotel café all days minus weekends. On weekends, I have my morning coffee at Marko’s, but only through the end of this month. Afterwards, I will have my morning coffee only at the hotel café. I eat at Benjamin’s all days except Wednesdays, when I eat at the hotel restaurant. And I am in Zagreb between New Year’s and Easter, when nearly everything in Motovun is closed. It is good to know all these details, indeed. Otherwise, many a sore disappointment would come my way. Finding a closed door is nothing if not a sore disappointment, too.
