“SENATE REPORT BLASTS CREDIT SUISSE” (February 26, 2014)

Thus The Wall Street Journal today. “A Senate report alleges that Credit Suisse Group went to great lengths to assist US customers trying to open Swiss bank accounts and evade federal taxes,” elaborates the newspaper. Surprise, surprise. What else can Switzerland do but provide tax shelter to the rich across the planet? Watchmaking? The Union Bank of Switzerland and Credit Suisse are topmost banks in the country, but all the other banks are engaged in the same trade—tax evasion. At this day and age, the World Wide Web only helps with the banking shenanigans that started in the Middle Ages. Every investigation into Swiss banks would show the same over and over again. How is it possible that Switzerland’s racket is still tolerated, though? The answer is simple enough once again: the rich run this world one way or another. This includes criminal activities of all sorts, including financial crime. One more time, there are no surprises here. Articles in top financial newspapers are for rich people’s entertainment only, anyhow.
