“ON DEATH ROW WITH LOW IQ, AND NEW HOPE FOR A REPRIEVE” (May 31, 2014)
Thus The New York Times today. “After a ruling that says states can no longer rely on a fixed IQ cutoff to decide intellectual competency, “ explains the newspaper, “the likelihood increased that some inmates will have a chance to avoid execution.” Great news for the stupid, at least in the States. Slowly but surely, intellectual competency will become irrelevant in the American law, and the death row will in time dwindle away. Which only goes to show that it is good to be stupid. The stupider, the better. And it is good to remember that an entire half of humanity has the intelligence quotient bellow the one-hundred mark. By definition, too. With intellectual competency out of the way, so much is up for grabs for the stupid. Soon they will go for the top jobs, including ones in the government. With some luck, we will have an American president with an intelligence quotient of a dolphin. Great news, but not only for the stupid. The rest of the world, beware!
