The most amazing sort of knowledge, of which I am well aware always and everywhere, is that the absolution is within reach, or at least within a few easy years.

Absolution? The very first synonyms that come to mind are forgiveness, pardon, release, freedom, and liberty. What I actually had in mind when this haiku was penned combines them all, as well as many more of the same gracious ilk: death. Merciful death, that is. And it is forever within a few easy years, giving us plenty of comfort all the while. Mercifully within reach, it is rock solid and secure. Almighty death!
