I have never been to a place where people and swallows live at such close quarters as they do on Ilovik. The swallows are everywhere. They flit about and chirp merrily within reach of your hand. They even nest within your easy reach. Which means that people and swallows of this island must have lived at close quarters for centuries, and perhaps even longer. Come to think of it, perhaps they came over together.
