When you boil it all down to the bare essentials, there are only two kinds of stories: those that end well, and those that end badly. Of the two, I prefer stories that end somewhere in between, neither well nor badly. Well, there are three kinds of stories, of which I actually prefer those that do not end at all. They go on and on.
