SOME HOPE (June 9, 2008)

Whenever I spend some time observing the humans, usually from a safe distance, I feel mainly disgust. Outrage does pop up now and then, but that is far from the norm. About twice a year, I guess. On rare occasions, I feel something like pity. Compassion comes up much less often, but it nonetheless surfaces from time to time. Say, three or four times a year. Anyhow, it just crossed my mind that this is a pretty wide range of response to the human species. There is still some hope for me, that is. And possibly for my deplorable species, as well.
