Terrorism is in the air. Islamic terrorism, as it were. But are America and Europe really scared of Islam? Not in the least. They are scared of terrorism as such. Terrorism sans phrase. Which is where a plethora of new laws stems from. Surveillance all around. Wiretapping in every imaginable form. Snooping raised to the highest pitch ever attempted by anyone on earth. For unbridled capitalism has only one enemy worth talking about: terrorism. Islamic terrorism is but a decoy. A red herring for the many. Once democracy becomes nothing more than a distraction for those in power, both economic and political, only terrorism is a threat they understand perfectly well. The only palpable threat, as a matter of fact. Mind you, this is not a call to arms. This is but a belated attempt at good old debunking.
