BLAMING THE WEATHER (February 20, 2008)

Ever since I got up this morning, I cannot focus on anything. Whenever I sit down to do something, I get up a few minutes later having accomplished absolutely nothing. A bit puzzled by my predicament, a short while ago I started looking for its cause. The first thing that came to my mind struck me as plausible enough. No alternative presented itself, either. Namely, the weather is rapidly changing. After a number of sunny but freezing days, the sky has turned overcast and it has become appreciably warmer. By tomorrow morning there will be rain, or so I hear from friends who watch the news on television. I settled for the weather a bit too fast for my taste, though. Which makes me ever-so-slightly uncomfortable at the moment. As though blaming the weather is reserved strictly for sissies.
