A KNOT IN MY STOMACH (June 20, 2008)

The Motovun Film Festival crew appeared in Motovun this morning. There were about ten of them. Pros in their business, they came to start the preparations for the five-day event that will take place in late July and early August. It will be their tenth, too. I know many of these people well, and it was a pleasure to see them in town. But the pleasure was soon mixed with many other feelings, including outright dread of the approaching pandemonium. After a few handshakes and jovial greetings, I started feeling a knot in my stomach. As soon as I looked into my mobile-phone calendar to gauge the time we have until the festival, the knot got tighter. Only thirty-eight days to go!
