TITANIC (December 25, 2000)
Tonight I watched the ending of Titanic on television. I saw a few minutes of the beginning, as well, but I just could not make myself watch the whole film. Too corny. Instead, my mother and I had dinner. Still, the ending grabbed me after our meal. Watching the young couple embrace just before the great ship sunk, I identified myself with them. Suddenly, I became one with them. And the woman I held in my arms was Lauren. I could see her golden hair, her powerful brow, her determined eyes. I could feel her live flesh, her strong frame, her long limbs. And I could feel her mighty love. Our mighty love, that is. Not bad for a Hollywood film!
