I bumped into a little girl in the street. Her mother and two little brothers did not notice that she almost fell to the ground. They kept going, rushing through the crowd. I picked her up and put her on her feet. When she turned around, ready to start crying, I gave her a big smile. The biggest of smiles. She did not smile back, but she was reassured. Her mother and her little brothers will never know she was close to tears for a brief moment.
