SHOPPING FOR ZING (August 27, 2000)
I got the last issue of Zingmagazine[1] from Mary Barone, who is somehow involved with it. Well, she is one of the six contributing editors. An interesting issue, again. Leafing through it, I came upon Devon Dikeou’s Editor’s Note. The first few sentences grabbed my attention:
Shopping. Shopping for curated projects, shopping for reviews, shopping for … content. Well, even this editor’s note is on a shopping spree. Shopping…[2]
Aghast, terrified, I stopped reading. Shopping! Unexpectedly, my heart went to Devon. Shopping is one of the things in life I hate with passion. Of course, as the magazine’s editor, she must be shopping for zing all the time, every single day. Every single second, that is. What a horrible way to go!
