HOW TO WRITE MY NAME (July 24, 2000)
Maya has learned how to write her name quite some time ago. Last week she asked me how to write Dorian’s name. I showed her, and she wrote it rather well. Then she asked me to show her how to write my name. I did, and she wrote “RAKO.” “Maya,” I said, “you forgot the “N.” She promptly added it to the end of what she had already written: “RAKON.” The order of letters in a name was clearly of no great consequence.
