FLOWERS FOR MY MOTHER (December 27, 2000)

I went out for a walk this morning. Suddenly, I thought of buying some flowers for my mother. I quickly gave up the idea, though. I realized flowers might spook her.

Instead, I bought a few books for her. I was lucky to find Dante’s La divina comedia in Italian, as well as Rimbaud’s Illuminations and Baudlair’s Petits poĆ«mes en prose in French. The flowers of poetry.
