HOMO SIMIA DEI (May 14, 2019)

Much can be learnt about humans from their insatiable yen for gods (“Yen for Gods,” May 4, 2019). Although gods are nothing but human inventions, which nowadays go by the name of creations, they thrive in human minds. Indeed, humans have aped their gods since times immemorial (“Diabolus simia dei,” April 29, 2018). By and by, humans have become creative past compare—now they are gods one and all, as it were. And they will do everything in their power to outdo all the gods on record in unabashed creativity (“In My Gloom,” June 24, 2018). One way or another, humans are bound to succeed, too. Which is why thinking along these lines is entirely superfluous, if not also outright tiresome (“The Human Problem,” January 29, 2014). Sooner or later, humans are sure to bring their godly aspirations to a tumultuous conclusion. Boom! Bang! Wham! Alas, this appears to be the only workable way to address rampant polyanthroponemia that now ails the crumbling cradle of the human species (“Polyanthroponemia,” April 26, 2009)! In the meanwhile, keep your mouth shut. Not a peep!
