Our era is characterized by loads of gibberish about the equality of men and women. Anyone who questions it is up shit creek. I wonder why there is not a single attempt to compare the genders by using the simplest of statistics. Take any field of human endeavor and compare the number of men and women on top. Start with science, move on to arts, and conclude with sports. For instance, compare the number of Nobel prizes, the prices of artworks, or the records in running or jumping. For good measure, include the number of chess champions of both genders. In fact, any sturdy statistics would do. But no-one dares make such comparisons for fear of consequences, it goes without saying. Any comparison worthy of that name would be considered sexist at this day and age. The only explanation for this bias I can fathom is that women are at the core of contemporary capitalism. More malleable and less combative, they are much easier to exploit than men. To put it bluntly, they are not unlike robots, the very ideal of capitalism today. In return for predictable behavior, no-one is allowed to poke their noses into all the comparative statistics at hand. An arrangement made in heaven, as it were.
