What is worse, no-one from the Union complains about the travesty, in which the French president plays the second fiddle to the German chancellor, who is not yet brave enough to call the Union her own fief. As well as German in perpetuity. European newspapers do not even dare point at the travesty. It is left to the reader’s imagination. Luckily for them, most of the denizens of the Union are indeed stupid enough not to notice it. And so the German Federation, the proper name for the Union, barges ahead unencumbered.
