THE THIRD FUCKING ANNIVERSARY (March 23, 2015)

I just paid my income tax for the month of March, and I feel outright happy. And no kidding. I feel elated. Why? Because I live in constant dread of the Croatian state, its lumbering tax authorities included. God only knows what could strike their fancy. I could be surrounded by the police in a jiffy. Payment slips are my only defense against their shenanigans. And I keep mine in my knapsack for easy retrieval. My laptop is in the knapsack, as well. It harbors a spreadsheet with the full record of my payments ever since three years ago, when I started paying income tax in Croatia. Everything is there in meticulous detail. I do my best to keep it in perfect shape, which is why today’s tax payment is already in the spreadsheet. When it comes to taxes, I am doing my utmost. The payment had to be made by the end of the month, but it is already in. Ah, the joy! And what better way to celebrate the third fucking anniversary of my regular income tax payments to the Croatian state?! Minus writing about it, of course.
