I have spent much of the day reformatting my writings on my desktop computer. For years upon years, I used to indent all my paragraphs, which followed each other directly. As of late, I separate them with empty lines without any indentation. Also, I used to indent all paragraphs that I quoted from the beginning. This was an established practice when I started writing. If there was no indentation, it meant that the paragraph was not quoted from the beginning. And now I am removing all the indentations in line with how my writings appear on the World Wide Web. The trouble is that there are many yearbooks to go through. With more than three-million words and no less than forty yearbooks, this is quite a chore. Thus I return to reformatting every now and then, without ever having a clear picture of how much more is left for me to do. The removal of all indentations is simple enough, but it is also boring to death. Thus this piece about reformatting. It offers a brief respite from clicking the mouse and banging at the keyboard. Enough, though. Before I go to sleep, I want to go through at least one more yearbook.
