I LOVE MY PAINTINGS! (September 29, 2015)

I am sitting alone in my livingroom and looking at my paintings. It is bright out there, and the light is simply stunning. My paintings look alive. Out of the blue, I feel an urge to take a few photographs of them. The best camera on offer is in my laptop, and so I open it, click the Photo Booth icon in the dock at the bottom of the screen, and start taking photos. Only then I realize what is going on. I will be going to Zagreb in a couple of days, and I will be missing my paintings while I am there. And no kidding. My beloved has a small array of my paintings in her apartment, but my livingroom is an entirely different story. They are everywhere. Having taken a few photos, I look at all the others saved in the Photo Booth. A number of them show my paintings in Motovun. And they are quite similar to the ones I have just taken. Although I cannot be sure of the dates, I realize that they must have been taken a few days before my previous trips to Zagreb. Oh, I love my paintings! Even more, I love them to bits!

Addendum (September 21, 2017)

Once again, I am sitting alone in my livingroom and looking at my paintings. Indian music is in the background. The light is simply stunning one more time. At first I think that I should take another photograph of the paintings, but then I realize that I have too many of them already. Out of the blue, I start crying. Nay, sobbing. I love my paintings to bits, to be sure. But not because they are mine, I hasten to add. Perish the thought. I love them because they are part and parcel of the human mind. Chances are that the same holds for the minds of many other primates, as well. A warm welcome to chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans…
