“WHY PATIENCE REALLY IS A VIRTUE” (August 22, 2015)
Thus The Guardian in its Health & Wellbeing Column today. “Patience was born from our inability to control much in our lives,” elaborates the newspaper. “Now, as technology urges us to speed up, patience is an act of self-determination.” Goodness gracious! “This column will change your life,” the newspaper tops it off with yet another boast. Of course, the article itself is superfluous after all of the above. Pure wisdom, no less. Actually, the only thing that is missing is that one should have patience with The Guardian, too. Silly stuff will perforce pop up in this newspaper among newspapers, whence the welcome advice on patience. As though newspaper readers are not armed with this glorious virtue already. And to their teeth. As a matter of fact, they would have long perished without it.
