Simply put, the European Union is planning to use the remnants of Yugoslavia of old, as well as Albania, as a migrant haven of sorts. This is sheer lunacy, to put it mildly. Albania and Montenegro’s coasts will soon become one of the gates to the vaunted Union. Migrants from both Asia and Africa will be streaming toward Albanian and Montenegrin ports. And the Balkans will turn into a racial cauldron steeped in smuggling of everything under the sun. Including humans, of course. Stupidity of the Union officials never ceases to amaze me, but the treatment of migrants tops all its previous heights. But the politicians of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia must be rubbing their hands right now. The economic future of the fraught region is abundantly clear at long last! And smuggling is in the bones of the Balkan peoples.
