TWO REMAINING ATTRACTIONS (June 15, 2012)

Now that Motovun is hardly a home, my beloved and I have come up with two remaining attractions of the hilltown: the fireplace in the winter and the terrace overlooking the Mirna valley in the summer. Things have changed as of late, though. The terrace is hardly an attraction any longer. We cannot sunbathe naked for fear of paragliders, that is. And their numbers seem to be growing by the day. Here is one. Over there is another. The third is taking off at this very moment. And they all repeatedly sweep right by the terrace. God only knows what surprises await us concerning the fireplace. The chimney above it is on the tall side, too.
