THE YOUNG TODAY (September 5, 2012)
Milan Babić and I just had a wonderful conversation about the young today. “They don’t do a thing,” he says, “they just lie about.” I agree with him. “All they want is fun,” he continues. “And they come to their parents when they need help,” I jump in. He agrees with me. Although he is about fifteen years my senior, we are of the same mind when it comes to the young today. “But what if something happens?” he raises his eyebrows and spreads his arms wide. “Who will defend them then?!” Out of the blue, I remember Rome, but I remain silent. I just nod in agreement, for Milan is surely right. Something is bound to happen, anyway.
