THE MOTOVUN AIRPORT (August 7, 2012)

I first heard of an airport for light aircraft to the east of the Motovun hill in late March. I thought it was a joke. But the airport was opened a couple of days ago. One can already find taxi services to the hilltown on the World Wide Web. The taxi service from the Zagreb airport is already operational. Others will follow soon. Amazing. Motovun lacks so many things, such as regular electricity and water supply, regular World Wide Web service, and a proper sewage system, but it has an airport already. Someone is making good money on it, to be sure. Who is it, though? That is still a secret. Once the answer becomes known, it will turn out that the vaunted airport is far from a joke.
