T-411 (September 22, 2012)

Five years ago I got two pairs of climbing pants made by The North Face in Bangladesh (“T-627, T-638,” November 14, 2007). Both pairs fell apart in the meanwhile, and now I got another pair made by the same company. It also comes from Manchester. As it turns out, they were made in Bangladesh, as well. I immediately checked the pockets for that tiny piece of paper with a code printed on it. I found it in no time in one of the pockets protected by a zipper: T-411. I immediately searched for my piece about the old two pairs, and found it in a jiffy on the World Wide Web. To my disappointment, though, the codes did not match. Another woman, I would bet. And from the same village or town. Once again, there is no address in Bangladesh where I could send her a few words of thanks. Thus this second forlorn note.
