The last few years, Benjamin Pahović’s restaurant got the license from the municipality for the Motovun loggia on the lower square. Undoubtedly the best restaurant in the hilltown, it well deserves the distinction. But this year the restaurant did not get the license for the loggia. Instead, it had to move further down the crowded lower square. Some neighbors apparently complained about the noise. When my beloved and I arrived this afternoon, we found three motorcycles in the loggia. Obviously, there have been no complaints about the noise that motorcycles make. Who knows, they may be of the silent variety. In addition, they are a joy to behold in the medieval building. Thanks to the intrepid municipality, this is Motovun at its best.
