IMPLOSION, EXPLOSION (September 15, 2012)

I often return to my desire to see more addenda to my pieces of writing rather than more pieces as such. I have long had a strong wish to turn the whole project inward rather than outward. Put differently, I am looking forward to an implosion rather than explosion of my writings. This has nothing to do with the number of words written, but with their place in the, as it were, narrative. And yet, only a sixth of my writings are addenda rather than new pieces. To be a bit more precise, their share is about fifteen percent of the total. Now, why am I not following my desires in this case? Why am I allowing an explosion of my writings when I claim to be committed to their implosion? I am not sure of the answer, but I feel this is a good question. And one that requires much further thought. One hint I have at this stage is that the explosion is standing in the way of implosion. There is so much written already that it is ever more difficult to figure out where to place an addendum and why. To wit, I am drowning in my writings.
