The leaders of the European Union are rallying behind growth at long last. Hooray! Austerity is no longer their policy of choice. Growth, growth, growth! But it is good to remember that this has been Jacques Attali’s bright idea from the start. The eternal optimist has done everything in his power to promote it even in the direst of times. No matter what, he has been for growth and nothing but growth. And no fooling around! Indeed, that is the only way for Europe to go at this time. Growth, growth, growth! Without growth, it is surely lost for all time. Attali is the sub-continent’s last hope, too. Optimism is the name of the game, anyway. Go Europe, go!
