FREEFLOW II (February 8, 2012)

My Berghaus climbing knapsack has a device that keeps it from sticking to my back when it is hot. It is pretty useless when it is cold, but it is more than handy most of the year. The device in question goes by the name of Freeflow II Ventilating Back System. Made of shiny black plastic, it attracts dust. Whenever I place my knapsack by my side in a crowded place, I cannot but be staggered by the dust accumulated over a couple of years since I switched to this particular knapsack. I keep promising myself to clean it, but I never fulfill my promise. Until a moment ago, that is. The back of my knapsack now shines sparkling clean, and I feel kind of proud of my achievement, which took only a few minutes of my time. Thus this piece, it goes without saying. It takes the tiniest bit of physical toil to make me feel no less than proud of myself. Lazybones incarnated.
