FASTING, AGAIN (July 11, 2012)
After a long pause, I returned to fasting today. All told, two bananas, a handful of walnuts, a bottle of fruit juice, and white wine with plenty of ice. I am about to call it a day, but I feel pretty fine. During much of the summer, and especially during the ever-longer hot spells, this is the way to go every two or three days. The exact ingredients of the diet are not important, though. An apple or peach instead of a banana would be just fine. There are so many different fruit juices to choose from. And there is nothing wrong with red wine, albeit without ice. Fasting itself is of the essence. Of course, I will refrain from big meals on the intervening days, but I will not go hungry. On top of feeling good, I will look a bit better, as well. Or is it younger, perhaps? Oh, I love fasting!
