It is getting warm again. In fact, it is getting so warm that I am thinking about sandals anew. As far as I am concerned, this is the very definition of warmth.

Global warming notwithstanding, I have been switching from shoes to sandals ever later in the year. Or so it seams to me. If my memory is serving me right, the magical date fell around mid-March during my first few years in Croatia. The sandal season would end by about mid-September, though. Although it might be ending a month or so later as of late, it s still stretching over six months or so. At any rate, global warming is a peculiar phenomenon. The weather is all over the place. It is hard to pin it down in terms of seasons, no matter how they are defined. The sandal season is just another example of the evolving mess. And a mess it undoubtedly is, for I cannot be sure of my recollection. Perhaps I am only imagining stable weather patterns of the past. The golden years, as it were. In a few short years, sandals will strike me as my birthright. Anyhow, they feel just right on my feet at the moment.
