ANOTHER FALLOW DAY (January 28, 2012)
Another day without a dream remembered. Not a scrap. Crestfallen, I am going about my duties without any relish. Wondering aimlessly through another fallow day.
Addendum (September 5, 2016)
Since a few weeks ago, I have a spreadsheet with titles and dates of all the dreams recorded to date (“Dreams, Vices, and Virtues,” August 30, 2016). And I have been recording every single dream I could remember upon waking. As it turns out, there have been nearly eight-hundred of them over the last twenty years or so. The largest number of dreams was recorded in 2012, when this haiku was penned. In particular, that year I recorded more than one-hundred and twenty of them, whereas I recorded a bit more than sixty dreams the year before and the year after. That is, the number of dreams recorded in 2012 was nearly double that number in 2011 and 2013. By comparison, so far I recorded less than twenty dreams in 2016. And I was still complaining about another dreamless day! Silly old me!
