ANA’S SOCKS, AGAIN (May 19, 2012)
Amazingly, last night I wore woolen socks in bed. Made by Ana Krnjus from Motovun, they were just what I needed against the cold (“Ana’s Socks,” October 19, 2006). By the way, the central heating in my house has been on for days now, but the socks are still a great comfort in the middle of the night. The only trouble is that they are meant for the winter rather than late spring. Which is why it is amazing that they have even crossed my mind this time of year. Let alone that I am still wearing them as I write about my predicament the next morning.
