I was stunned to be wearing winter clothing a week ago. I am stunned for the same reason once again. But is it not time to stop being stunned about the weather?

Well, I am still wearing my winter clothing. According to weather forecasts, it will be rather cold through the end of the week. There has been much snow in some parts of Croatia, but the worst one can expect in the middle of the Istrian peninsula is rain. However, this morning I heard that the only town in Europe colder than Pazin this morning was Reykjavik. Reykjavik?! And Pazin is only about half an hour by car from Motovun. If the Croatian newspapers are to be trusted, this is the coldest May on record. To complete this sorry story, I just turned on the central heating in my house. This is certainly the first time I have done that ever since my arrival in Istria. In short, it is high time to get used to wearing winter clothing in mid-spring. As for the summer, fingers crossed.
