A LETTER OF COMPLAINT (August 26, 2012)
Rain is forecast for today, but there is no sign of it yet. And it is early afternoon already. It crosses my mind to send the forecasters a letter of complaint.
Addendum (August 27, 2012)
As it turned out, my complaint was not in vain. Far from it. As we were finishing our lunch at a restaurant not far from my beloved’s apartment, the rain finally came after much wind. The temperature dropped appreciably. After a powerful but short shower, it started drizzling. We returned home almost dry, but the rain came in earnest soon afterwards. My beloved cut open a big watermelon, which we got this morning at the open market in the center of Zagreb, and we dug into it with gusto. It was sweet past compare. And then… Well, the rest of the afternoon is not fit for print. Simply delicious! Returning to the obliging forecasters, my sincere congratulations. Right on the spot, too.
