A CLOUD-WATCHER’S PARADISE (April 4, 2012)

Reclining on my terrace, I am watching the clouds. Unusually, they are coming from the southeast this morning. But there are several layers of clouds, each of which is moving at a different speed and in a slightly different direction. Mingled improbably, there are also clouds of all possible formations: cirrus, stratus, cumulus, and nimbus. The weather is weird, to be sure, but the sky is still a marvel to behold from the top of the Motovun hill. Come to think of it, this is a cloud-watcher’s paradise.
