“MILITANT LINK TO LIBYA CONSULATE ATTACK” (October 2, 2012)

Thus The Wall Street Journal today. “The revolutions that swept the Middle East and North Africa also emptied prisons of militants,” explains the newspaper, “a problem now emerging as a potential new terrorist threat.” Oh, my! This must have somehow escaped the attention of the American authorities until recently. The consulate attack in Benghazi has come just in time. Terrorism is terrorism, though. Something must soon be done about it, and the American military cannot but get involved across the endangered regions. Pacific can wait a bit longer, anyway. One way or another, the game has changed. Militants beware! Revolutions are fine, but only if they lead to democracy. As well as capitalism America can stomach.
